Toroidal Transformers Acutran has over 30 years of experience in designing and building custom-designed toroidal transformers for high-voltage power needs.

Toroidal transformers are used to save space, as compared to laminated E-I cores. Also, this type of transformer is sometimes used to reduce the external magnetic field. Constant toroidal transformers use a ring-shaped core, copper windings wrapped around the core (and threaded through the ring during winding), and tape for insulation.
